Absolutely. I would definitely agree with the statement "Many
subgroups within American culture have largely bought into destructive
ideologies, which need to be confronted and dealt with."
That is, I would say "A large portion of the black community is in the
grip of a destructive victim ideology", but NOT say that "blacks as a
group are less rational and open-minded than other ethnic minorities."
Fair enough?
