Chris : I wonder what the author would say about Independents. At least as of now, the Indies who supported Obama in the election are deserting the WH in droves. Think they voted Democratic about 3 to 2. The tally, latest polls, is about even, with maybe a few % below 50 % for the Dems . This still does not translate into a GOP resurgence since many have moved into the undecided category, but with Indies at roughly 30 % of the total for all voters this is a factor that cannot be ignored. Wonder what the demographic breakdown is for Independents. For the record, I'm a registered Independent.
