An excellent question. I think the answer is "quite possibly" :-/. With his waffling on Afghanistan, there is a real chance he may retreat into typical Democratic dovishness, leaving us a more unstable world.
Then again, maybe he really knows what he's doing, and will somehow pull off a brilliant diplomatic coup!
Either way, the clock is ticking. Right now he seems to be coming to the end of his public honeymoon, which means he and the Democrats'll face hot water if he doesn't show progress by the State of the Union...
