Ernie : Not how I read it. Samuelson says, it seems to me, that the health care package actually packages, are fiscally ruinous. And there also is sleight of hand since there is a $ 200 billion "rider" that funds increased payments to doctors not figured in with debt estimates over the next 10 years. With a few exceptions here and there, the health plans don't cut costs and we all will end up paying through the nose since the way things are written, the Democrats' supporters, the AMA, the insurance industry, etc aren't giving up anything at all, and they are major ( major ) reasons for runaway health care costs. We could add the GOP supporters like drug companies, I certainly think we should, but the point is, no matter how anyone looks at it, we are talking trillions in new debt.
