What he misses from the poll is that Republican approval rating is 14%, which is *much *lower than the "white" approval rating of 39%. On the other hand, it is true that the "black" approval rating is 91%, which is higher than the Democrat approval rating of 82%. So it is true that race is a factor, but it would be a mistake to ignore the political party split. See the numbers here:
