Can't speak to their specific proposals yet, but I admire their courage and
their process. A lot of this is obvious common sense -- but that's a precious
commodity in politics. :-/

The Peterson-Pew Commission on Budget Reform was established to modernize our
outdated budget process and build bipartisan consensus for a core set of
reforms.
A joint venture of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trusts,
and the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, the Commission has convened
the nation's preeminent experts to develop a new fiscal framework and make
recommendations for how best to strengthen the budget process. After making its
recommendations, the Commission will work closely with Members of Congress and
the White House.
