Ernie : An "aha moment" of my own. As they say in politics, it depends on whose ox is being gored. For me the threat is Islam, with Hindus as allies against a common foe. That is quite different than being persecuted for my beliefs BY Hindus. For you, at least given your experiences and presumably those of your family, the primary threat has been FROM Hindus. For someone else the problem might be Communism. In parts of Africa or Melanesia the problem might be regional tribal majorities. Not sure what we can do with this "insight," but there it is.
