That's actually what scares me. I think Newt is on safer and saner ground calling for a focused checking of anyone with likely ties to Islamic Extremism. Treating *everyone* from an Islamic (or merely Arabic) background as an enemy seems more likely to backfire.
What I really want is a way to get the Americanized Muslim community (MINO if you will) to distance themselves from the extremists so they're easier to find, not join them in a shared persecution complex.
