To be honest, I don't have much hope for Europe -- I think they've lost the ideological backbone to confront Islam a long time ago. Then again, the Swiss decision shocked a lot of people, and even a token gesture like the one below was a welcome surprise. Perhaps Europe may end up forcing the issue to the point where they discover a new appetite for constructive confrontation.
