I donno, but it is --objectively-- just a statement of fact. She was originally from Corpus Christi or Brownsville or someplace like that. I think there is an object lesson in her story, a "cautionary tale," cie vous plait, about appearances and inner realities. Her boyfriend , with whom she lived for a year or a couple of years, said in an on-air interview that "Jihad Jane" never even talked about Islam. But then she heads off to Sweden to try and kill a cartoonist. Gotta tell you Ernie, I have the feeling, and have had it for several years, that I'll be on someone's "fatwa list" sooner or later. Barry --he is unable to use his computer ( last I heard ) because he fractured his wrist on the job recently-- already made a local list of this kind. Last spring he received an indirectly worded but still clear enough threat , with the warning to desist his show, "Islam Today," or else, the implication being assassination. Turns out that the source was a member of the local MSA, Muslim Students Association. The police warned the Muslim student to desist and it seems that he has, but its a good bet that someone else will eventually do likewise. This is the reality of the situation. Criticizing Islam is like criticizing the mafia while you are living in Sicily. Which, though, as I see it, is all the more reason to persist and make my criticisms even stronger as time goes by.
