Nice chart, about as good as such information can get.
Still, at this point, prior to November, nothing to take to the
bank.
There will surely be a hero or two who emerges after the voting.
That will change the calculus, either to put a new possible
nominee
on the map, or to spotlight someone who is a supporter of a
prospective nominee and boost his / her chances.
But about Huckabee, major disappointment. Still a likable person,
still smart, but his show on Fox has ruined everything for me.
When all is said it is vaudeville, song and dance, non-serious,
essentially a joke. A new version of The 700 Club, but without
the depth. Not that 700 is all that deep. but it sometimes is,
and Huck's show doesn't even have that, the format won't allow
it.
When I heard that Huck would have a TV show I was very hopeful.
How great it would be for him to have a show in which he could
explain his political philosophy, outline new and thought-out
programs for the government, offer detailed criticisms of
bad stuff going on in DC, make appeals to our best values,
and so forth.
Sure, there are snippets of exactly that, but snippets only.
The impression one gets, though, is that he is more interested
in corn pone than serious ideas, more concerned with
showmanship and entertainment than launching a crusade
to get the country back on the right track.
Essentially it all disgusts me. Huge let down.
