On the TV financial show "Closing Bell" today the suggestion was made that all elected officials should be required to swap any private investments for government securities as a condition of serving in Congress. The concept is that this way our senators and representatives would necessarily look out for such things as government solvency, any flaws in the system, and so forth. and not be reckless with the people's money. Might take a Constitutional Amendment ( maybe not, only possibly ) but it strikes me as a really good idea. Billy
