Hi Sandon, A new submodule is going to be added to the ceph repository
https://github.com/ceph/ceph-erasure-code-corpus as can be seen in the corresponding pull request https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/2480/files This is the one I told you about: it will grow by ~100MB (raw, much less compressed) for every Ceph release. For the gitbuilders to run properly, an update has been made to cleanup the leftovers to get a clean clone https://github.com/ceph/autobuild-ceph/pull/18/files Unless I forgot something, the last step is that a mirror is added so the gitbuilders do not need to get the repository from the net every time.
