Hi Ceph,

TL;DR: If you have one day a week to work on the next Ceph stable releases [1]
your help would be most welcome.

In the past two months I spent a fair amount of time to better understand and
help backporting patches to the existing stable releases [2]. I'm developing
tools [3] to automate as much as possible and document the process [1] to
figure out who's responsible for what at any given time.

This collaborative work currently involves Red Hat employees only. But as Ceph
grows it would be better if the whole development community participates.
Instead of waiting until the process and tools are fully polished, it would be
great if a one or two person have time and motivation to step up right away.

If you're interested and have at least one day a week to devote to this, please
let me know.

Cheers
