In my test cluster the ceph-mgr is continuously logging to file like this:

2022-01-07T16:24:09.890+0000 7fc49f1cc700 0 log_channel(cluster) log [DBG] : pgmap v832: 1 pgs: 1 active+undersized; 0 B data, 5.9 MiB used, 16 GiB / 18 GiB avail 2022-01-07T16:24:11.890+0000 7fc49f1cc700 0 log_channel(cluster) log [DBG] : pgmap v833: 1 pgs: 1 active+undersized; 0 B data, 5.9 MiB used, 16 GiB / 18 GiB avail 2022-01-07T16:24:13.892+0000 7fc49f1cc700 0 log_channel(cluster) log [DBG] : pgmap v834: 1 pgs: 1 active+undersized; 0 B data, 5.9 MiB used, 16 GiB / 18 GiB avail 2022-01-07T16:24:15.893+0000 7fc49f1cc700 0 log_channel(cluster) log [DBG] : pgmap v835: 1 pgs: 1 active+undersized; 0 B data, 5.9 MiB used, 16 GiB / 18 GiB avail 2022-01-07T16:24:17.894+0000 7fc49f1cc700 0 log_channel(cluster) log [DBG] : pgmap v836: 1 pgs: 1 active+undersized; 0 B data, 5.9 MiB used, 16 GiB / 18 GiB avail

at a rate of 1 line every 2 seconds approx. I have not been able to stop it; the solution reported here:

  https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/39646

doesn't work for me. I've been forced to stop the manager. I'd greatly appreciate any help with this.

Using ceph version 15.2.15 (2dfb18841cfecc2f7eb7eb2afd65986ca4d95985) octopus (stable) on CentOS 7.

Thanks in advance,

Nicola
