Also be aware that due to the nature how monitors work (and that you need an unequal number of them), that if the datacenter loses power with the majority of the monitors, you can't access your backup-data either (you can after fiddling with the monmap, but it doesn't failover).

Do you mean 2 replicas in datacenter A, and 2 more replicas in datacenter B? Short answer: yes, but replication is synchronous, so it will generally only work well if the latency is low between the two sites. sage
