Hi all,
I am trying to boot from a block device in openstack.
So far I have my ceph cluster ready. Openstack glance keystone nova
cinder all work.
what i can do now is to create an image and save it in Ceph pool
images. I can also create a volume without specifying image ID and attach
it to a instance. However when i try tospecify the image id the volume
will be in the error state. The log says Communication error with the
compute node:9292. The weird thing is it is not my glance node I don't know
why it wants to connenct to that port.
Also, can anyone explain a little about creating a volume from an image?
What does it mean? I can create a volume and attach it to an instance.
But what does creating a volume specifying the image id mean? What happens
to the image and the volume? Binded together?
