Thanks for all the answers, we will disable logging and check the c-state CPU pinning. I did not hear so far of async messenger. After checking the mailing list it looks like one can test with ms_type = async option. I did not find the documentation for that (looks like this is a quite recent added feature). We might try it out as well.
