Morning, Guys i just want to remind us all that we all need to be available and take responsibility of the league. I am saying this coming off last weekend, just like the other 4 or so weeks before it, we have seen a situation developing that is not going to help us sustain the league.
1)Teams not honoring fixtures. A Lot of teams, especially A-League have not been coming to play their games especially KAMUZU BARRACKS and yet we all are aware of the fixtures 2)Teams coming late. Some times do come for games BUT very late, especially BAYONETS. This really disturbs the flow of things and games on the day 3)Officials. For the past 3 weeks i have been using some girls from BAMBINO to do the score and the time. Seriously guys, these little girls do the game but its very unfair that we keep them in the sun the whole day while some of us can also do the said duties. 4) Refs. Every game requires a ref. WE must be available to ref our friends games just as they will ref our games. I dont think its fair to force same people to officiate games when there are about 100 of us players. The only way we can improve our officiation is by officiating. How do we expect to learn or improve if we keep being absent? 5)JUST BE PRESENT! gentlemen, alot of things would go smoothly if we are present at the courts. Last Saturday the game between MIMBULU and TROJANS was not a good game. Things went out hand and very ugly scenes. If some of us were present, if some of us took the time to be there some of the things that are said or done would be controlled. Its difficult to be a General Secretary and a Player and control eveyone at the court at the same time. The league is going into a phase where we will see an introduction of a new league and more teams. This is added responsibility and we should all be happy for this and spare our time to being available. Guys, lets pull up our socks and take part in the league. We all love the game and we all need to give some time to the sport. Its not fair for some people to be at the court from 830am and leave it at 5pm every other saturday. Lets all take part.
