Fellas,
here are the results for games played{Forfeited} on Sat 10
Mdzodzo {Forfeit} Vs Softees (Forfeit}
Mimbulu {Forfeit} Vs 12 Dsciples 20
Blazers {Forfeit} Vs Kamuzu Barracks 20
Kamuzu Inst (Forfeit} Vs Veterans {Forfeit}
Softees 20 Vs Lady Dynamites{Forfeit}
Trojans 60 Vs 12 Disciples 43
Of all the 6 games that were scheduled, only 1 game was played. At
this point in our league and season, personally i think its a serious
problem for teams to be coming late to games worse still not show up
at all.
I think it will help us all if you know that your team will not be
available for your games, please tell me 2 days before the game so
that we can change the fixture other than make people go to the court
and your team is no where to be found.
It was sad for the Trojan V 12 Disciples game as there were no
official or even score sheets available since all the officials gave
up and went home as we go there at 9am and nothing happened.
When you forfeit a game, you lose all points. When you play and lose,
you still gain 1 league point. The league standings have a benefit in
the end. Some teams may fail to play in the national championships or
other tournaments due to these reckless attitudes we have towards
games.
A League teams are particularly guilty of forfeiting games. They seem
to play at their convinience while B-League teams are very punctual
and do turn up for their games. In A League there are 2 teams that
seriously need to improve their commitment to fixtures, Bayonets and
Blazers.
Good day
