Herbert let me comment pamenepo.

You may be aware that our colleague Rocky is getting engaged on Saturday
the 18th of October. Trojans requested that we play our games either
before or after Saturday so we can attend his engagement ceremony. The
best option was Friday night between 5pm and 8pm.

ABC charges are different for "training" and "games". Yes training is now
K1,000. Harold advised that the charge for the gym for the whole day is
K40,000, so this offer is very reasonable.

Its because of the above arrangement that was suggested that the teams
contribute equally otherwise the games cannot be played. Unless we had
flood lights at Silver it would have been better. But not many pple have
contributed to that as far as I am concerned.

I also understand Pempho's point. But its Friday, you can try and leave
earlier, no? Make sure you carry your gear in the car and go straight to
ABC after knocking off.

PS, dont try talking about corporate social responsibility to ABC...they
have no clue what that means...Nyumba ija ndi yawo. Lol.

I think something is wrong here. Pempho has a very good point about the
time. I see some games being forfeited here honestly. Plus I am starting
to get worried with how ABC management is doing all it can to put brakes
to the development of the game in Lilongwe. I maybe sounding a little
callous here but come on guys; it's high time somebody said something.
We appreciate ABC providing the GYM to us and all but the charging
CEZOBAL six grand for three hours is just too commercial. We use the Gym
every night for a grand (this is from last week, it used to be K700 not
so long ago. I don't know what formula has been used this time around
for the service to jump from K700 to K2000 for an hour. All this money
for three hour light bills and court maintenance. Has anyone heard of
Cooperate social responsibility? Otherwise ABC management needs to come
out clear in terms of the agenda they are pushing. Business or
supporting the youth to improve their basketball skills with the best
resources this country has to offer.
I stand to be corrected, but I also find the transfer of the cost to
teams participating on the day not in order. Don't get me wrong, I do
understand that one way or the other somebody has to pay for the court
usage, unfortunately in this case, it has to be the teams that have to
shoulder the cost on behalf CEZOBAL for a CEZOBAL event. I am attacking
the people that came up with the idea, or the amount of money involved,
I am just worried about the who principle and precedence

Friday games will have to start at 5 because ABC has put up conditions
on our usage of the court. there will be 10 minutes grace after which
a forfeit will occur.

We are expected to be out of the gym by 8pm and no later. If games
start at 530 or 6pm, we cannot afford to play 2 games with 4 quarters
each.

Each team playing tomorrow has to contribute 2,000 towards the bill
that ABC has charged CEZOBAL. ABC says games played in the gym will
cost 6,000 and if we plan to use the gym the whole day it will be
40,000.

For friday games, Blazers, Mimbulu and Trojan each will contribute
2,000.

5pm, Blazers Vs Trojans (Blazers please remember to bring your
registration fees as well before the game starts)

Nzotheka.
