Just a thought!

The verdict seems to be too strong, perhaps the team deserves that

but does it help improve the game, i am not sure

Is there  any chance of imposing fine for misconduct, just like in the EPL

CEZOBAL would benefit financially and would also act as an effective deterent

Subject: {CEZOBAL} Capital Blazers have been relegated

The CEZOBAL executive met on Monday at Lilongwe and among other agenda
items was the recent walk out on a CEZOBAL fixture by the Capital
Blazers team.

The executive was of the idea that the reasons given by the Blazers
were not convincing and not entirely true given:

1)Ample time was given when the fixtures were released, but the
Blazers took their stance on Friday morning with a few hours to go
before the game. A Query should have been made atleast 48hrs before
games kick off as is the procedure.
2)In a double elimination tournament, it is possible for teams to play
back to back games in case of a loss. This is general tournament
format which every individual ought to be in the know about
3)Blazers gave wrong information when they communicated that they
discussed the fixtures with Trojans, the executive sought
clarification from Mpho Munthali(Trojans) who denied having any
discussion with the Blazers around the Tournament fixtures. Asked if
Trojans were the losing team, would they have played the second game?
Mpho said they were ready to play the second game in the case of them
being losers of the first game
4)Blazers showed open defiance to the executive by walking out of the
games despite all three teams having paid money to ABC for usage of
the gym and people/spectators who came to watch the tournament.
5)Blazers showed lack of respect of the game and opponents by acting selfish.

Given the above reasons, the executive has given the following verdict:

1)Blazers have been relegated to B-League.
2)No player from the Blazers will be allowed to transfer to any team
for the next 2 years
3No Blazers player will take part in the All Star games

The executive came to this verdict to send a strong message to all
players and teams in the league that indiscipline and lack of respect
to the game will not be tolerated.

CEZOBAL is working very hard to restore the game to a glorious level
and as such needs everyones commitment and dedication to the cause. We
have started developing relationships with the corporate world and as
such unity and commitment in the league is vital to getting more and
better sponsorship.

Other than opposing or defying what the league is doing, all are
encouraged to be positive and channel their concerns and ideas to the
appropriate officers in the league. Being defiant will not move the
executive.

The executive is willing to hear any contributions on how we can
improve things in the league and is available at anytime.
