Dear All,First all i would like to thank my personal Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ for the numerous years and succesful career in Basket Ball. All Glory be
unto Him. What i am about to write is not for the faint hearted. As much as i
appreaciate and sympathise with Blazers case, i feel these comments raised in
the opening remarks are not meant for us rather i would suggest you wrap them
up get in a closed meeting with Cezobal and Basmal. There valid points you are
raising however i feel it is not appropriate for you to raise issue concerning
people and there profiles. if every team had to start putting up CVs of there
players and what they do & could do , our inboxes would be overwhelmed . You
will find that others in some teams can even sponsor the league and all teams.
Dont hold us( Basketball Community) hostage because of your unique talents.
Talents come and go in different combinations the same way nations are built
and are destroyed. I am afraid the tone of the email makes the congratulatory
and unifying message diluted. Please! people put time and effort to organise
events. I am not saying that everything is ok however i dont think that the
organising committee has paid deaf ear to concerns? i thought this matter has
gone back to the officials? why comment when its being heard? unless you
correct me that the officials met and the verdict is still the same. When we
are making comments lets do so constructively not to undermine the leadrship of
others. These might demoralise those in leadership. Networks are not built like
on pride rather on humility & offering service to others.I have played serious
active Basket Ball since 1990 ( watched & played as well not seriously since
1985 when Charles Bamster a Peace corp was teaching BBin Malawi) and i have met
alot of people seen more things probably than most people in this basket ball
generation. Truly indeed people have benefited from each other. However the key
has been good social relationships in the network. Not pride on what teams
boast of. Do you know that some players & people today are sitting a call away
to people who have enjoyed this game since the 70s, 80s 90s to offer solid
support with vast resources interms of finances and BB equipment and technical
support?. But what discourages them is the attitude that the current generation
of basket ball has? so please when you makiing your statements becareful. We
have talked about improving the game for a long time. how do we do it? if you
dont know how, i can start the list.1. be passionate about playing basketball2.
be passionate about individual fitness and playing games3. be passionate about
appreaciating other teams and fixtures4. have the heart to express your
thoughts without attaching your opnions or heresay but facts.5. representing
basketbal in and outside the court.6. the list is not prescriptive but flexible
you can add your ideasWhat would happen if a certain generation of players and
officials just quit today. I am sure tizingosewela ma 21!!! Just look at the
veterans spirit of basketball? certainly Lilongwe basketball is benefiting from
these guys and the social relations. you can tell there a big difference in
attitude between these guys and this generation of basketball. I am afraid
people are full of egos! not until we learn to let our egos aside we will not
benefit basket ball today. Lets ask ourselves these questions1. what made
basketball tick back in the days?2. why are the veterans back and all over
sudden basketball is again starting to take centre stage? why was the all stars
in volving the veterans exciting? did they come alone? no ... but the came with
the friends and families inthe crowd. werent people happy to see the
multitudes? how about the 3 on 3. the older generation of basketbal spiced up
things. lets be honest. how do they do it?3. what happens for a sport to start
pulling the crowd? its athletism that does the trick and display of knowldge of
the game. ( i consider myself old and belonging to older generation of basket
ball. its shame i run more than 18 years today, jump and hustle more than
21year olds when they are supposed to out do some of us.) .Furthermore its the
social relationship outside as well and seriousness. we the players are
supposed to market the game. For the committee i pray some decisions can be
overturned and dont feel wounded about it. Dont feel you have soften up or you
are succumbing to pressure rather look at this issue objectively. We trust and
respect your leadeship & we are here to support you not bring you down. These
are such difficult times that you were appointed for. Your demonstration of
good leadeship to listen would benefit the whole basket ball community. i
might be happy with some decisions not happy with some, however you have my
full support. In a long time i have started enjoying playing in Lilongwe. keep
up the good work!Remember people are political in nature, but how we relate
with others individually or in organisations or community is of utmost
importance, because it determines the outcomes and impact on our goals. So i
urge those who love basket ball to come and continue to play and knowing that
authorities are watching, so have self and team disclipline whilst respecting
authority of CEZEBOL and those in leadership enjoy your term in office and know
that people are watching you also to make fair judgements.Everytime back in the
days when i decided to go and watch the game it was 99.9999999% that the game
would be played in competitive spirit, and i would enjoy it as a spectator. Can
we have those days again? I will wait for the days to come as long as Jesus
gives me life and the Holy Spirit guide my way.YoursKayakanguThe only light in
my life is Jesus Christ! in whom i trust...--- On Mon, 10/27/08, Pempho

Do you know that it is a Blazers player who designed the CEZOBAL website and is
the host?

Do you know that it is a Blazers player who is helping in designing some of the
basketball courts to be built and some restructured?

Do you know that reliable sources have disclosed that particular Blazers
players are targeted not to play the game till the end of this season?

Do you know that as a basketball family, we are aslo individuals with different
careers and skills and we can help develop each other? We have different fields
of
study which are beneficial to all of us? The houses that are being built or
planned to be built, can be designed by some of the players at good friendly
prices or not for any price at all? You know why, it is because of the
relations that have been established on the court. Do we therefore need these
relations to go sour? What happens then...........? God knows.

If so, can you say that Blazers does not respect the game?

If so, can you say that Blazers don't want to improve the game?

Some of the good things that blazers do outweighs the verdict passed on it and
we feel by such, that these good works are not being appreciated.

Where is this enemity coming from?

Congratulations

Congratulations Mimbulu for winning the Chairman's Trophy.

The Chairman, We very much appreciate the introduction of the Trophy, may God
bless you abundantly. You have brought in good competition to improve the game
here in the Capital. Thanks.

To All

We are still a family and we can further improve the game. Lets hold hands and
come together, lets avoid bringing politics in the game, it will kill the game.

Kind regards to all.
On behalf of blazers
