1)This saturday: There may be VOLLEYBALL games at ABC.. please check and confirm because i have known about the volleyballgames from 2 weeks ago and our basketball fixtures turned to ABC just last week. I dont think it will be fair for us to bulldoze our way into the gym if the volleyball guys have already made reservations. 2)TIME: Please ensure that the games start as fixed otherwise what ROCKY said will be true. Some people get to the gym on time while others deliberately choose to be late. How can ABC be late for their game against Disciples when they are 10 metres away from the court??? 3)Refs: Chonde guys, if you accept to ref the games, BE SERIOUS! some of you -helebati- were drinking Fanta Fashion while reffing..some were not even running.. call a foul on the other base line while standing on the other baseline.. these are simple things that make a big difference and are just not acceptable.. 4)Ladies games!!! I failed to understand why ABC ladies had to play against Bunda inside a SENIOR MENS tournament???? WHY? Bunda had 4 legitimate players and they borrowed the rest.. this is not acceptable and whoever decided that fixture- because it was decided on that day- need to know that the SENIOR MEN league is the de facto league and gets preferrential treatment NO MATTER WHAT! Please grow out of the "Azungu" syndrome-- the azungu did not dictate the ladies to be played- Please avoid dragging Paul Chinchen or any Mzungu of ABC into decisions made by Malawians on Malawian soils. take responsibility. "Azungu akuti asewere atsikana kaye kapena atithamangitsa!" ... Are you serious someone would say somethign like that in 2009 in Malawi?? What we have with ABC is a business partnership, we pay them therefore they cant just out rule us and they -Azungu- know but some of us dont know that and we hide behind them. Grow up my peoples! I met Paul that same day and he didnt know that there were games so which Director Mzungu instructed that we halt our tournament and play the ladies game? That was not fair and acceptable. If the ladies game was scheduled before, we should havwe been told of that otherwise that was just straight face-slap to the league and Bwana BINGU. If it was scheduled befoer how come BOB KANDULU released 4 players to come to ABC? How come? 5)PRIZE MONEY.. how much do the winners get? how much is the zone allocated? WE NEED TO KNOW THIS NOW THAN LATER.. we all know that the money was released by Bingu, sports council and BASMAL..so how much are we playing for? 6)Elections: Very soon BASMAL will calll for elections, please lets come and get positions IF WE KNOW WE CAN CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING TO THE GAME! some useless things like what we are seeing should NEVER EVER be allowed space in basketball or we are killing the game. That "Shadow" committee made sense to me and it should be put in office and get our game straight. some of us are about to retire, and very soon we will retire BUT we would rather leave the game with people who are capable and NOT people who are incapable but insist on responsibility with no base. lets work together to uplift basketball in Malawi, but Lilongwe first!
