great idea guys. it is our responsibility to impart our skills
to the kids in order to develop the game. We were all
taught this game by someone....most of us whilst in secondary
school.....now its our turn to return the favor.

Let me encourage especially ladies who are can manage to help
out with this programme for the young girls in secondary schools.
If youmhelp out enough then may be we could have a junior league
for ladies too...or may be get another team or two into the already
running ladies league.

All the best Cezobal.

Ladies and Gents,
We are looking at having a developmental program during our 2010 season. As you
all already know, EACH team playing in the 2010 season will be allowed to
register TWO under 18 players, which means teams will register 12 senior
players and 2 under 18 players. This is to bring stability to teams, whereby
the young players will be the ones to carry the team in the coming years.

The CEZOBAL Junior League is supposed to start on the 30th of January. All
Senior Teams in CEZOBAL will EACH be given a school or school I say will be
attached to a school to help with the coaching and technical aspects of the
games. It will be the Team’s Captains responsibility to make sure that there is
someone from his team helping with the training of the school teams. Any school
which will produce a good player, the team responsible for the school will have
first option to sign him. If the player wants to play for another team rather
than the one responsible for his school, the team signing him, will pay a
compensation fee to the team responsible for that school’s team.

Teams can provide us with schools of which they will be comfortable to be
attached to if you don’t any school will be imposed on your team. So far
schools which have indicated participation in the Junior League are:-

Bishop Mackenzie
Bambino
Bwaila
SOS
Likuni Boys
Kamuzu Barracks
St Johns
Chipasula
Mount Sinai
Royal Prince

If you are aware of other schools which will be interested please let us know
so that we contact them. Let’s all work together in developing the sport we all
love, this is the FUTURE of Basketball.

Kind regards,

Barlett
