CEZOBAL FAMILY,
FIRST OF ALL, I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGISE TO EVERYONE ON BEHALF OF THE
CEZOBAL COMMITTE REGARDING THE SILENCE ON THE ABOVE ISSUE. WE HAVE BEEN
HAVING PROBLEMS ON WHOM TO SEEK PERMISSION FROM TO HAVE THE COURT
RENOVATED. SILVER STADIUM HAS BEEN GIVEN BACK TO THE RESERVE BANK OF
MALAWI, SO WHEN WE WENT TO SEEK PERMISSION FROM GOVERNMENT WE WERE TOLD
THAT THEY WILL BE HANDING OVER THE PROPERTY BACK TO RBM ON THE 1ST OF
JULY. FROM THE 1ST OF JULY WE HAVE BEEN TOLD TO WAIT UNTIL THE HAND OVER
IS COMPLETED, AND THE RBM WANTED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED TO DO AT
THE COURT, SINCE THEY TOO HAVE THEIR OWN PLANS REGARDING THE RENOVATION
OF THE WHOLE FACILITY. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD TO WAIT AND WAIT, UNITL TODAY
IT LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE FINALLY HANDED IT BACK TO THE RBM. SO I'M SURE
WITHIN THE NEXT 2 OR 3 WEEKS WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO CARRY OUT SOME OF THE
RENOVATIONS WE HAD EARMARKED FOR SILVER COURT.
PLEASE ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAD PLEDGED TO ASSIST IN THE RENOVATIONS
PLEASE YOU CAN COME FORWARD WITH YOUR PLEDGES, SOME ALREADY GAVE IN
THEIR PLEDGES, MANY THANKS FOR BEING UNDERSTANDING AND FOR PUTTING TRUST
IN US.
THE CEZOBAL LEAGUE:
Personally I feel the standard of the CEZOBAL league has grown in leap
and bounds, within a short period of time. Games are no longer
predictable anymore, any team can beat any team. Look at the results of
the recent second round games, Alliance of all teams surprising 2009
playoffs participants Disciples, and Trojans beating 2009 Champions
Mimbulu. This is sure turning out to be a season to remember thus being
dubbed "Wafa Wafa". With the league turning out to be competitive it
sure going to raise a lot of emotions and tempers will definitely flare
up. I would like to ask each and every player to PLEASE behave
themselves all the time, we don't want the games to now start turning
into boxing rings and some people losing their teeth during games. We
are all passionate about the game but we should also keep in mind that
it's only a game. My plea to all the teams especially Team Captains is
to make sure you keep your players under control all the times. If teams
behave unruly we will definitely stamp our authority and it will seem
harsh to some, but it will be for the good of the game and our dear
league.
To all teams, please we don't need to be reminding you all the time
about the dress code, every team knows the rules, we are getting SICK
and TIRED of teams coming in kit which is not uniform, from this weekend
onwards, ANY PLAYER WITH KIT WHICH IS NOT MATCHING HIS TEAM MATES
UNIFORM WILL EITHER HAVE TO PAY A MK1,000 ON THE SPOT FINE BEFORE
PLAYING AND HIS TEAM WILL STILL GET A TECHNICAL FOUL FOR HIS KIT, IF HE
DOESN'T PAY HE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY. We have been VERY lenient
for a VERY long period of time. Players all know the dress code we don't
have to be reminding people to take off necklaces, or not to wear
t-shirts inside their jersey which is not marching their kit. So please
from now onwards we are not going to be reminding each other of these
petty issues, we are just going to be implementing the rules.
Any predictions on which teams will be playing in the 2010 CEZOBAL
Championship Playoffs.....????? Its "Wafa Wafa"
