This is great. Big up to Lady Dymanites and the CEZOBAL members who took
time out to visit the village. Thanks to all those who contributed one way
or the other to VoH.

I sure am proud to be part of La CEZOBAL family.

Keep it up.

{CEZOBAL} CEZOBAL CARES: Visit to Village of Hope in Pictures

La CEZOBAL Family,

Please find attached some of the photos which were taken when we visited
the Village of Hope Orphanage in area 43. It was a touching experience for
all the CEZOBAL members who took their time out to go and visit the kids
at the orphanage, and a big thank you goes to the Lady Dynamites who came
up with this idea and lead the CEZOBAL family when we visited the VoH.

The Orphanage is mainly made up of children under 12 years old and has
houses sponsored by mainly Presbyterian churches based in Canada. There
are 7 operational houses with each house having four kids, 4 boys and 4
girls with one of the kids in each house being a small baby, there is a
Mother for each house and Aunties (female volunteers’) do come to help out
whenever a House Mother is not available to carry out her duties.

When we arrived the CEZOBAL family members were allocated to each house to
get to chat and play with the kids, for me it was an experience difficult
to put in words, you simply have you experience it yourself to know how it
felt like. Thereafter is when all kids were called together and we handed
over the foodstuffs and clothes which were being donated to the orphanage.

During the speeches Linda Magombo spoke on behalf of Lady Dynamites, and
she encourages the kids to work hard in school and to look at life
positively and be exemplarily to their friends at all times and thanked
VoH for letting us visit and playing with the kids. Barlett Mafuleka spoke
on behalf Cezobal, he encouraged the kids to work extra hard in school and
take part in sporting activities because playing sports also helps kids to
be disciplined and being a team player, and sports also keep their bodies
in shape and healthy, he also promised that Cezobal will assist in getting
the basketball court within the VOH compound in playable condition (the
court needs lines painted and backboards). He also promised to organize a
fundraising games to be hosted at the VOH basketball court once it is
fixed and all proceeds will go to the orphanage. The Senior House Mother
of VOH, Mai Eelesia Ndau was very grateful for the visit and the donations
by CEZOBAL and said this will go a long way in assisting the kids as well
as in improving their livelihood, she thanked CEZOBAL for the kind gesture
and looked forward to seeing a lot more people from CEZOBAL coming in and
assisting the kids in one way or the other. She pleaded with CEZOBAL to
assist if possible with male volunteers to be visiting the orphanage from
time to time to inspire the kids since most of the volunteers who are at
the orphanage are mainly women. She said they will be very grateful once
the basketball court is fixed and they looked forward to having the kids
being properly taught on how to play the game of basketball. She was very
happy that as a sports people our visit also helped inspire the kids to
also take up sports seriously and she hoped that one day VOH will be able
to produce a national team player.
