If you are using 4.5, the upgrade to 4.5.1 SP1 has a fix for the module that
plugs into Apache that fixes this problem. Below is an extract from the
release notes of SP1 explaining the fix

The ColdFusion Apache module (mod_coldfusion) has been enhanced to pass
along the
PATH_INFO CGI variable to ColdFusion. In addition, the list of CGI variables
has been
moved to the module source file, mod_coldfusion.c. You may make any
additions to this
list of CGI variables you may require for your site and rebuild the Apache
module by
following the instruction provided in
/opt/coldfusion/webserver/apache/README.

Subject: CGI Variable Problem! - please help
Sorry for the crosspost.
I have set up a test server running Cold Fusion and
Apache (for Windows NT). For some reason I am not able
to use the CGI variable 'path_info' variable on the
Apache server and i can onthe IIS server. Has anyone
had this problem? and if so could you please lend a
hand?
Thanks,
-chris.alvarado
