Actually, I think you just start the reinstall process as an UPGRADE, Win2k
automatically updates the MDAC and you're good to go with no lost settings
across your whole machine. I've done this once and it worked like a charm.
But I don't think that you have to completely rebuild your machine.
I don't know why Allaire hasn't remedied this. microsoft acknowledges it as
an issue on their site...

But you can't reinstall the MDAC with Win2K... that's a big change from NT4.
You either have to re-install the OS, or PERHAPS try installing/reinstalling
SP1.
Please, somebody, tell me if I'm wrong, cause we've gone round and round on
this problem. Perhaps Allaire is slow to fix this problem because they
really don't *mind* ASP being disabled on every CF install?
