Having 2 Computer is much better. Try a get 3 if u can One running SQL One running CF One running your Development Stuff >From Rif -----Original Message----- From: Jay Jennings [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 22 November 2000 20:30 To: CF-Community Subject: Dev Machine I need some advice on a development setup. I work from home and my current setup is this: 450MHz, PII, 256MB RAM, NT4 running CF 4.5 & SQL Server 7 450MHz PII, 128MB RAM, Win2K Pro that is used for my actual "workstation" I'd like to switch to one box to do everything and am looking at this: 800MHz-1GHz PIII, 384MB RAM, Win2K Pro to run CF 4.5, SQL Server 2000, plus CFStudio and the rest of my development stuff. I know that more RAM is always better, but can someone who knows give me a rough idea on the difference I'd see between those two setups (and maybe with 512MB RAM rather than just 384MB)? Thanks for the help. I've used two boxes for the last couple years and don't want to switch to a single box and regret it later.
