Information Week's December 4 '00 issue has an article, "A Rough Start
for E-Retail," describing how poorly several sites handled the
Thanksgiving shopping surge. It mentions some that did well, including
Victoria's Secret:
"Many e-commerce sites are weathering the storm just fine. Victoria's
Secret added load-balancing software and increased its capacity tenfold
in the past year, and now ranks tops in website performance."
I'm sorry I missed the VS crew at the Conference.
