Bad move. OpenSRS (or any other registrar, for that matter) doesn't make
the expired domain immediately available. It will take at _least_ 40 days,
probably longer. This is mostly to protect someone that simply forgets to
renew the domain.

Your best bet would be to renew it with the original OpenSRS reseller ASAP.
You can later transfer it to Network Solutions or another registrar. Second
best would be to do a TRANSFER to another registrar. This should go through
within a couple of days after you approve it. BTW, your email address is
listed in the administrative and the billing contacts, not the technical
contact. As admin contact, you'll be approving a registrar transfer, if you
decide to go that way.

I'd really advise against using Network Solutions. They've got the best
brand name recognition, but little else. They've got serious security
problems, as well as just generally having their heads up their butts. If
you want the transfer to take a long time, you've picked the right
registrar. We became an OpenSRS reseller mostly to save money on
registrations (we pay just $10 per year per domain), but the management of
those domains is also _much_ easier. Keep in mind that using
domainstation.com doesn't necessarily tie you to their services. You can
just go to OpenSRS to manage your domain and make changes to contact info or
name servers. The url is below.
