Can anybody help me track down who runs a spider that was hammering my site?
I run CF on a Dual Pentium box and it generally has a processor load of
around 10%. This afternoon both processors were nearly maxed out. I figured
out it was some type of spider hitting my site. My logs showed it was coming
from two IP addresses:

  65.100.40.33
  63.229.140.41

The log entries only contained:

  Address:  63.229.140.41
  Browser:  Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.0; Windows NT; ....../1.0 )
  Protocol: HTTP/1.0

My tracert ended with what looks like a uswest IP in the Portland area:
  ....
  uswpor-t3-2-gw.customer.alter.net (157.130.181.126)
  20.gig6-0-0.ptld-agw2.ptld.uswest.net (198.36.160.217)
  dialupD106.ptld.uswest.net (207.225.84.106)
  Unavailable (63.229.140.46)

A lookup on the IP gave:

  Name=40.100.65.IN-ADDR.ARPA
    Type=SOA, Class=1, TTL=86400 (1 Day), RDLENGTH=49
    Name Server=ns1.uswest.net, Mailbox=hostmaster.uswest.net

Is there anyway to figure out who this is or do I have to depend on uswest
to finger them? Any help would be appreciated.
