Just as a point on this - like SPs, it's not always the case...

I have my "favorite" query which runs faster in a CFQuery than both a view
and a SP - the View runs faster than the SP...

It's a lovely query with a sub-query, aggrigate functions and a few joins
(total of 4 tables) - it's indexed to hell and back but still takes 3+
seconds to run...
