Erika,

re PP -- IMHO it comes down to realizing "time and place".

As is VERY obvious, we all be waaaay off the wall lately in cf-community.
This be a very good thing, and fun, and a stress relief. It's great that
Michael D. provided a vent cap for the pressure cooker. And it's gratifying
that El Jefe of the lists thanked us all for keeping the tech lists more
techie lately.

But the analogy I wanna make is "school" -- stuff you do on the playground
at recess may not be appropriate in the classroom, especially when the
teachers really pile on the assignments and tests, or during a quiet study
hall.

And when a lot of the students point out to this person that they might want
to modify their behavior in the classroom, and that other kid blows them off
saying basically "I'll straighten out when I need a reference from the
teachers", that strikes me as a bit naive.

Just my $.02 and of course "your mileage may vary".

Ben

Erika,

I couldn't agree with you more!! It used to be so boring sitting here by
myself....watching poor Phoeun Pha get whipped over in CF-Talk.....starting
to crave sightings of a reply by Forta just to see his take on things....I
was thinking I was going nuts!

Now I know other people here are too! <grin>

We do need a good food fight, there should be no peacefulness here...... :-)

Where's that Gel? I miss him....

Oh, but Erika - it *is* fun!

I was beginning to miss the dynamics of an office environment until this
list started getting interesting! Who needs a water cooler or a coffee pot
when I can get equally sexually lewd comments here! :-)
