This is very cool! Apparently from the web site, I can get EastEnders on
Wednesday nights!

So, after I visited the website, I dug out last week's Wednesday edition of
the local paper, and sure enough! Wednesday night 10pm...East Enders! What
cave have I been living in?

This shows you just how much TV I actually watch....All I usually have time
for is Sopranos on Sundays and NYPD Blue on Tuesdays, and maybe a little
Dharma & Greg every now and then! The rest of the time I have the radio on.

My favorite episode? I haven't been able to watch it since 1985-87....so my
brain is very fuzzy....I can only remember looking forward to watching it
with my grandparents. I do vaquely recall a bunch of bar scenes and a girl
with the 'oover cleaning up.

I can't wait! Wednesday night...no work for me! TV!

Yes I do watch East Enders every week. I think they are trying to be serious
but I usually find the cast's
situations very funny! I saw the first episode back in 1986. I thought WNET
in NYC used to carry EE? Check the EE
fan page site for US PBS listings
http://www.beadsland.com/eastenders/ - It shows two stations that you might
get it on...

Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley
WHYY TV12 runs two episodes of EastEnders starting 12 midnight Sunday
night/Monday morning.
New York City / Long Island
EastEnders can be seen on WLIW TV21 every Wednesday at 10 pm in omnibus
format.

Fawty Towers is great. There were only 12 episodes but each one is a gem! I
recall an interview with John Cleese
where he explained that he and his co-writing wife (Polly in the show) spent
a lot longer than normal for a 1/2
hour comedy writing them. He said they tried to get 4 or 5 little story
lines going, intertwining as the show went
on, and if possible all would collide at the end to make it very funny... eg
The germans, the moose on the wall
falling down, The Major

I am pretty sure all of Fawty Towers is available on video... :-)
