My husband and I try to go at least 2 evenings a week with the Sierra Club
(shameless plug) out in Griffith Park.
2 hour hikes, from mild to strenous (take your pick) and I've found I can't
be stressing about work when all I can
think about is if I'm actually going to make it up the hill!
Stress relief is definitely necessary with this career.

just curious as to how many of you like to get out in the woods
& how many cant stand to be away from the glare of a 19" monitor?
seems like the deeper i get into code & development in general, the greater
the need for extended hiking trips into the woods/mountains ext.
not just for the fresh air & whisky, but i come back with a mellower
attitude, ready to ignore the multiple managers who want the unknown
yesterday.
