Anyway... one thing this reminded me of is my standard reply whenever a shop
assistant asks "Can I help you?", my immediate reply is "Sorry, I'm beyond
help"
It's a good test of whether the assistant has any sort of sense of humor...
and it breaks the "I'm trying to sell you stuff" attitude...
