I understand. We have it relatively good down here regarding housing
prices. (Still can't afford one though).

He is the broadcast engineer for a local radio station, whose transmitter
happens to be in an oil field. The oil field is one of those that agreed to
be turned off whenever Edison needed to during power alerts for "cheaper
rates". When they go off, the transmitter goes to. Luckily they have a
generator, but its a pain.

(Lucky me, I get the calls at 2am that sends hubby off to work. <sigh>)

In the high 80's here on LA's westside. Beautiful weather, but horrible for
our power situation. Unfortunately, this means a power alert and my
husband's radio transmitter was forced to run on generator all day. <sigh>

So... in our suburb just NE of San Francisco as of 3pm, it's a nice warm 91F
and a bone-dry 19% humidity, not a cloud.
Gonna go home & toss some yummies on the gas grill, put the Monday behind me
for a while in the hammock.
Were it not for the fearsome real estate prices out here, this would be
paradise <g>.
