Yeah the layoffs on Friday is a statistically safe bet... gives the
released party a cooling period over the weekend and reduces the
likelihood of an incident.

I am rather pleased to see everything coming back down to earth... Glad
to see the business slackers going back to their traditional consulting
and sales jobs... Sorry though to see some good people who chose the
wrong company :(

For the old schoolers like myself, most of the dotcom bombers were a
pain in the neck (read: little technical experience, limited skill
sets, etc.)

The ideas that got funding were unbelieveable. The rates people thought
they were entitled to bill at was insane. Having grad students balkng
at 60k offers for internships was plain stupid.

Reminds me of the desktop publishing boom of the 1980's... anyone
remember that???
