Thanks, Judith

Actually, she's been borrowing Mom's car for months to go to a part-time
job, karate class, etc. Seems to be responsible. Had a minor fender bender
in a parking lot, but many of us have... And has a phone -- all we ask is
simple communications of any change in plans.

The car she wants has the highest crash-test safety rating in its size class
-- the New Beetle. Besides, she's a fashion-oriented person, and it makes a
fashion statement <g>.

Congrats on your "five's" accomplishments.

It can be really funny -- when our son was six years old, he confronted his
first grade teacher:
"You said we could talk about Hanukkah in class. This year on the calendar
Hanukkah comes before Christmas, and you have already started talking about
Christmas. So when do we talk about Hanukkah?"

We got a note home from the teacher saying she wanted to be invited to that
"young man's" Bar Mitzvah. Seven years later, we invited her, and she came.

Sometimes it's all good, sometimes you're happy to get through it.

Ben

Congratulations, Ben! Good luck with the car thing, though. (That can be
scary for a parent ...)

My five year old is graduating Kindergarten in a couple of weeks, and my 3
and a half year old is graduating nursery. My five month old is rolling over
also and is almost sitting up. It seems like yesterday when I was taking
him home from the hospital.
