I have that problem but it is my outgoing SMTP server that is the problem.
Some messages get lost in the system and may or may not every find their
way out again. I get an undeliverable message notices after about two days,
which really doesn't help when it's an important message sent to work. I
notice the problems with mailing lists, because I am one of the recipients.
For messages that don't go to lists, I don't know if they have arrived
until I get a response or an undeliverable message error.
