For those interested in or upset about the pop-up window that advertises
those cameras...
here's an article with some behind the scenes details on the ad campaign:
Headline: "All Your Pop-Unders Are Belong to X10"
http://www.revenews.com/archives/00000099.html
and
http://www.inside.com/jcs/Story?article_id=32500&pod_id=13
and here is how to set a cookie (via X10) that will stop the ads for 30
days:
http://www.x10.com/x10ads.htm
But I have an unrelated question, in seeing the headline "All Your
Pop-Unders Are Belong to X10" I wonder about this phrase I've heard before.
"All Your fill-in-the-blank Are Belong to us" What does this really mean?
(Now that I understand muffin sharing and throwing, this is my slang
language-related goal.) Where did it come from? Why?
Thanks, Tim
