so apparently, he doesn't.

but here are 3 options based on U.S. carriers;

1) build a relationship with each carrier whereby they allow you to post
through their gateways and therefore directly to their customers. this is
good because you'll be able to push (interactive) decks to the phones, not
just text messages.

2) all major U.S. carriers provide their subscribers with e-mail based on
their mobile numbers. so, if your users provide their mobile numbers, you
can easily send them an e-mail which will route as a text message to their
phone.

here's a brief list of mail servers for some large carriers:

alphapage.airtouch.com - Air Touch
message.alltel.com - AllTel
ameritech.exmachina.com - Ameritech
mobile.att.ne - AT&T
message.bam.com - Bell Atlantic
sms.bellsouth.com - Bell South
text.houstoncellular.net - Houston Cellular
page.nextel.com - Nextel
PacBellPCS.Net - Pac Bell
pagenet.net - PageNet
skytel.com - SkyTel
message.swbellwireless.com - Southwestern Bell
sprintpaging.com - Sprint Page
messaging.sprintpcs.com - Sprint PCS

3) some sites have messaging interfaces on their web sites. you can create
CFHTTP software agents that post data from your application into them,
sending messages to users' phones. this usually also requires the users'
mobile numbers as in option #2. but the nice thing here is some carriers
have extra features in these web interfaces you can take advantage of.

here's an example of Sprint's web messaging interface you can post to:
