Actually (to throw a new monkey wrench into the mix), Judaism believes that
names are very significant and may determine a child's path or character.
They should be descriptive of the individual. So I would not want to name my
child "Pepsi-Cola", even if a corporation paid me several million dollars.
Do I want my son to be canned, carbonated, and drunk until he's empty? <g>
