Can I get a sample copy of this tool? -- Un-encrypted of course!

I agree with Gel, it is a touch situation. From the developer point of view,
it's your code, you gave it to them and now that you are gone you do not
want them to profit from something that they did not pay for. Now from a
business point of view, you implemented the code during work hours so it is
theirs. Any attempted sabotage the program (e.g. encrypting the source)
would defiantly created bad blood, because in a business owners point of
view, they paid for the code. Depending on the company you work for, I
would check with your attorney, before you do anything, to avoid any sticky
situations in the future.

Subject: RE: Developer Rights?

Are you going to sell this thing?
Are THEY going to sell this thing...
Is HE going to sell this thing?
Have you put a copyright notice in there?
What happens after they get accustomed to using the program and need to make
a change..your successor is going to have to
rewrite this thing from scratch?
Will this burn any bridges and cause bad blood?

Is this muffin overbaked?
Can I get a sample copy of this tool?

My contract says nothing about 'ownership of source code' or 'software
developed while in the employ of...' I believe I am within my rights to
leave this part of the site encrypted. Opinions?
