Man, I HATE to leave a new car at a trailhead.  I'd rather bust up a beater
car on the drive in than leave a new vehicle.  Most mini-SUV's are built on
car chassis anyway, so I'm not sure you gain much in the way of trails
capability out of something like the CRV or Toyota RAV4.  The new Ford/Mazda
(forget the name) is the exception.
