For those of you who don't remember my client's Hostcentric /
Virtualscape horror story... here is the re-cap
All files were deleted from the site (~500 megs) while the client was on
vacation. I found out by accident because I almost never get involved with
the live site.

The client came back (thankfully the day after I discovered it), got on
the phone, threw up a fit and got them to restore their most updated copy
of the database (which they backup daily, I didn't even know database data
was missing until he told me later) and the most updated copy of the site
files, which were about 3 weeks old because they only back up
sporadically (maybe monthly?).

My support ticket was just now marked as 'resolved' because I never
responded to an email where they asked for more information. I also never
received that email where they asked for more information, but they did
attach a copy to the bottom of the 'closed support ticket message.' (I
used Eudora's search to search through all my messages, including the trash
folder--which does not automatically clean itself out and currently has
over eighteen thousand messages in it ) ... I never received their email
asking for more information.

The question at this point seems to have changed from: "Should I move
my site" to "Where should I move my site to."

I suggested one company, but stated that the admin I had been dealing
with in the past was no longer at the company (Hi Stephenie). He asked if
that was the beginning of the end for them. (Gawds, I hope not).
