Sorry for the delay in replying - I was away on paternity leave (James
Philip, born 12/08 @ 18:16, 8lb 10oz)
I have zonealarm on my machine, and it seems to have serious problems
running on an SMP box - BSD's after a few mins quite regularly.
ZoneLabs recommend setting the processor affinity to a single processor, and
so far this seems to have done the trick - though it is annoying to have to
set it each time i log in (does anyone know how to fix this so it
remembers???) but I havent been running it like this for long...
Another thing I had problems with, is getting it to allow IIS access through
my internet connection - I have given IIS server permissions for internal
and internet zones, but it still blocks all HTTP requests automatically. If
anyone has any ideas on this I'd be grateful - currently I just diisable
Zonealarm if I need to show something...
Cheers
Dan

I've read nothing but good reviews of ZA. That's why I opted to use it over
the others. Do you have any references citing problems with ZA?
I'll take a look at TPF you mentioned below, have heard about it, never
checked it out though.
