I heard that patents for alternate engines and such were bought up by the
big car manufacturers and such so they could determine when  and if such
vehicles came to be so their fortunes would not be ruined.

Too bad we don't spend all the billions we are shoving over to Iraq on
useful things like oil, alternate energy sources, education, porn filtering
(plug for Mikey), etc... Kind of sad.
